SFWMD Water Shortage Watch Image
Did you know rainfall is our region’s primary source for replenishing our limited freshwater supply? With 2011 rainfall amounts below average, little recent rainfall and declining water levels plus forecasts calling for continuing extreme dry conditions, water conservation is even more important. Palm Beach County Water Utilities, in partnership with the South Florida Water Management District, are reminding you to conserve water and follow the current three-day-a-week year-round landscape irrigation restrictions to protect water resources and help delay additional water restrictions that may be needed if a water shortage occurs. For more information about irrigation restrictions, water-saving tips and up-to-the minute water conditions, visit www.sfwmd.gov/waterwatch

P.B.S.O. Update

In an effort to decrease burglaries and theft, P.B.S.O recommends you make yourself an undesirable target and secure your belongings from plain-view. Protect yourself by locking your home, business, and vehicle. Sheriff's Deputies will be patrolling neighborhoods looking for personal property left out in plain view. If discovered a courtesy notification will be left at your door.

Together, we can make a difference!

  • Secure windows/doors
  • Keep perimeter well lit
  • Lock vehicles in driveway
  • Motion sensors/alarms
  • DO NOT hide spare keys outside
  • Timers for interior lighting
  • Security cameras
  • Use deadbolts Grade 2 or higher
  • Trim hedges/shrubs
  • Don’t advertise your absence
  • Plant thorny shrubbery near window
